RRF Unit 3 Returns to Dioxin Compliance After Exceedance

Following a previously reported dioxin exceedance on Unit 3 at the County's Resource Recovery Facility, Reworld Montgomery, Inc. completed re-testing and on Feb. 2, 2026 reported emissions of 1.43 ng/dscm — well below the MDE permitted limit of 30 ng/dscm. The original exceedance had been identified and announced in a Dec. 17, 2025 statement.
