Safe Routes to School Program to Audit 15 Schools, Hold 10 Bike Rodeos in FY27

Montgomery County's Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program will conduct walkability audits at 15 schools and hold a minimum of 10 bike rodeos — on-bike safety courses — during FY27. Student outreach will continue through the 2027 Vision Zero Youth Ambassador Cohort, and SRTS will coordinate investigations into crashes involving students traveling to and from school. The program operates through collaboration between Montgomery County Government and public schools.
