Silver Spring Metro Station to Close Jan. 17-19 for Purple Line Work

The Silver Spring Metro Red Line station adjacent to the Paul S. Sarbanes Transit Center will be fully closed to riders on or about January 17 through January 19, 2026, due to Purple Line construction. Shuttle buses will connect riders to Takoma and Forest Glen stations during the closure. Ride On Routes 12, 13, 14, 16, and 18 also serve Takoma Station, and Route 8 serves Forest Glen Station, both from the Paul S. Sarbanes Transit Center.
