Six County Cooling Centers Open During Heat Emergency

Montgomery County has designated six sites as cooling centers during the heat emergency alert, open 11 a.m.–7 p.m. Locations include recreation centers in Silver Spring, Chevy Chase, Gaithersburg, and Wheaton, as well as Rockville Memorial Library. All Ride On buses are zero-fare and can transport residents to cooling centers.
