Temporary Bus-Only Lanes Coming to MD-355 This Summer

Beginning in early July 2026, temporary bus-only lanes will be installed along MD-355 (Rockville Pike and Wisconsin Avenue) to support Metro shuttle buses during summer Red Line construction. One travel lane in each direction will be reserved for buses during daytime and early evening hours, with pavement markings, signage, and dotted markings to allow right turns. The lanes will serve both Metro replacement shuttles and Ride On buses operating along the corridor.
