Two Safety Corridor Projects Wrapping Up This Fall

MCDOT expects to complete safety corridor construction projects along Bel Pre Road (from Rippling Brook Drive to Layhill Road) and Montgomery Village Avenue (from Wightman Road to Mid-County Highway) this fall. Separately, MCDOT will advance signing, marking, and short-term safety improvements along Randolph Road from Kemp Mill Road to New Hampshire Avenue and East Gude Drive from Crabbs Branch Way to Southlawn Lane. The county reports that safety corridor programs have reduced serious and fatal collisions on high-injury corridors by 29%.
