Vision Zero Budget Jumps 119% to $497K in FY27

The Montgomery County Council will review the more than $497,000 FY27 Operating Budget for the Vision Zero Non-Departmental Account on May 6, 2026, a 119 percent increase from FY26. The budget funds a full-time Vision Zero Coordinator and operational support for the Vision Zero Action Plan, including a $30,000 county match to a $240,000 federal Safe Streets for All grant to update the Action Plan. The Transportation and Environment Committee recommends placing the $30,000 match item on the reconciliation list.
