WMATA Begins Phase 2 Bus Shelter Work at Shady Grove East

WMATA completed phase 1 of bus shelter replacement at Shady Grove East Metrorail Station and will begin phase 2 on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026. Stops C and D will be closed, with Routes 74 and 76 (to Germantown and Poolesville) shifting to temporary stop T1, and Routes 43, 60, and 64 shifting to temporary stop T2. Temporary stops will be ADA-compliant but may lack shelters or benches during construction.
