The Montgomery County Council will review the more than $165 million FY2027–2032 Capital Improvements Program for Recreation projects on April 14, 2026. This represents an increase of more than $35 million (27.4%) from the amended FY25-30 CIP, driven largely by escalating costs for Recreation Facilities Refurbishment projects at centers and outdoor pools. The Planning, Housing and Parks Committee recommended approval of all projects as proposed by the County Executive, except the new natural grass field at North Potomac Center, which was deferred.
