GO Committee Reviews $199.5M BRT Revenue Bond Resolution

The Government Operations and Fiscal Policy (GO) Committee will meet on Jan. 15, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. to review a resolution authorizing issuance of up to $199.5 million in grant anticipation revenue bonds for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) development along Maryland Route 355. The bonds would be limited obligations of the County, payable solely from state BRT Fund receipts. The funding approach allows MCDOT to enter a design-build contract covering more project elements upfront, following a 2025 Council-approved supplemental appropriation.
