Maryland Grants Support New Teacher Certification for Degree Holders

Governor Wes Moore has announced new grants for Maryland institutions of higher learning to expand the Alternative Certification for Effective Teachers (ACET) program, which prepares degree-holding professionals for teaching careers. The grants are intended in part to assist displaced or retiring federal employees interested in entering education. Applications are currently open.
