ZTA 26-01 Would Regulate Data Centers as Conditional Uses

The Montgomery County Council will hold a public hearing on Feb. 24, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. on Zoning Text Amendment 26-01, which would define data centers as a new conditional use subject to zoning requirements. The amendment would specify which zones in the county may host data centers and establish minimum location and operational standards. Residents must sign up to testify by Feb. 23 at 2 p.m.
