Councilmember Andrew Friedson will introduce Zoning Text Amendment 26-03 on Jan. 27, 2026, which would lower the minimum square footage thresholds required to qualify as a Biohealth Priority Campus. The ZTA reduces the minimum new construction requirement from 150,000 to 100,000 square feet and additions to existing buildings from 50,000 to 25,000 square feet, and would allow repurposing of existing office buildings. A public hearing is scheduled for March 3, 2026.
