Governor Moore Announces Grants for Teacher Alternative Certification

Governor Wes Moore announced new grants for Maryland institutions of higher learning to address the teacher shortage and support displaced or retiring federal employees interested in education careers. The grants will fund the Alternative Certification for Effective Teachers (ACET) program, a preparation pathway for degree-holding professionals seeking to become teachers.
