Upcounty Underrepresented on County Boards and Commissions

Councilmember Balcombe raised concerns about the lack of Upcounty representation on Montgomery County boards, committees, and commissions, citing a recent report on BCC composition. At the March 11 County Council session, she abstained from voting to confirm Community Reinvestment and Repair Fund Commission appointments after nine of thirteen nominees came from Silver Spring with no appointees from the Northeast area.
