State Bill Would Allow County-Level Child Tax Credits

Councilmember Kate Stewart testified in Annapolis in support of HB 363, Income Tax – Local Child Tax Credit – Authorization, which would allow Maryland counties to provide a tax credit against the county income tax for certain dependent children. The bill was introduced by Delegate Julie Palakovich Carr. Stewart testified in favor of the bill several weeks before the email's February 25, 2026 send date.
