ABS Sponsors Student Contests Promoting Alcohol-Free Prom Season

Montgomery County Alcoholic Beverages Services (ABS), in partnership with the KIS Coalition, is sponsoring two student contests aimed at raising awareness about underage drinking and promoting alcohol-free prom celebrations. The 'Sober Vibes' Essay Contest is open to 11th and 12th graders, with winners receiving a limousine ride for up to 10 people; the 'Keeping It Safe' Video Contest is open to middle and high school teams, with cash prizes up to $1,000 awarded to schools of the top four videos. Submissions for both contests are due March 31, 2026, with winners recognized at a spring awards ceremony hosted by the KIS Coalition.
