County Executive Swaps Property Tax Hike for Income Tax Increase

Montgomery County Executive removed his recommendation for a 3.5% property tax increase and substituted a proposal to raise the local income tax rate from 3.2% to 3.3%. The County Council will hold a public hearing on the change on May 13, 2025. Residents may also submit written comments on the proposed tax change.
