MCPS Extends School Year Four Days After Weather Closures

The Montgomery County Board of Education voted on February 19, 2026, to add four days to the 2025–2026 school calendar following weather-related closures in January and February. The added days are June 18 (full day), June 22 (full day), June 24 (early release), and June 25 (early release). The changes were adopted as technical amendments to the existing school-year calendar.
