Maryland Grants Fund Alternative Teacher Certification Program

Governor Wes Moore announced new state grants to Maryland institutions of higher education to address the teacher shortage through the Alternative Certification for Effective Teachers (ACET) program. The program is designed for degree-holding professionals, including displaced or retiring federal employees, who wish to enter the teaching profession. Applications are currently open.
