Expedited Bill 6-26 Addresses EMS Reimbursement Revenue Distribution

The Public Safety Committee will meet March 9, 2026 at 1:45 p.m. to review Expedited Bill 6-26, which would explicitly permit EMS insurance reimbursement program revenues to be distributed to the authorized local fire and rescue department representative. The bill was prompted by an Office of the Inspector General report finding that current distributions were inconsistent with the County Code as written. Lead sponsors are Councilmembers Luedtke, Katz, and Mink.
