DEP Opens $1M HEECAP Home Retrofit Grant for Nonprofits

The Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and Office of Grants Management (OGM) launched the FY26 HEECAP Homes Grant Program on March 11, 2026, soliciting applications from eligible nonprofits. Up to $1,000,000 in total funding is available for approximately two to five awards ranging from $100,000 to $400,000, to retrofit income-eligible homes for energy efficiency, electrification, and climate resilience. The application window closes April 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM, with a virtual information session scheduled for March 16, 2026.
