DHCD-Funded HEECAP Home Retrofit Grant Opens, $500K Available

DEP and OGM launched a separate FY26 HEECAP Homes Grant Program funded by Maryland's Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) on March 11, 2026, due to differences in state requirements. Up to $500,000 in total funding is available for approximately two to three awards ranging from $100,000 to $300,000 for retrofitting income-eligible homes. The application deadline is April 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM; nonprofits may apply for both this and the county-funded HEECAP grant.
