Council Committees Vote Down Data Center Task Force Bill

The Montgomery County Economic Development and Transportation & Environment Committees voted down Councilmember Evan Glass's bill to create a Data Center Task Force earlier this week. The proposal would have convened experts, residents, environmentalists, and other stakeholders to evaluate the impacts of data centers on energy, land, water, noise, and public health. The bill was defeated before advancing to the full Council.
