State Grants Fund Teacher Certification Program for Degree Holders

Governor Wes Moore has announced new grants for Maryland institutions of higher learning to support the Alternative Certification for Effective Teachers (ACET) program, which helps degree-holding professionals transition into teaching careers. The grants also aim to assist displaced or retiring federal employees interested in education. Applications are currently open.
