County Offers $1M in HEECAP Home Retrofit Grants, Closes April 15

Montgomery County's Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and Office of Grants Management (OGM) launched the FY26 Healthy, Efficient, Electrified, Climate-Adapted Pilot (HEECAP) Homes Grant Program on March 11, 2026, with applications closing April 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM. Up to $1,000,000 is available across approximately two to five awards ranging from $100,000 to $400,000 to retrofit income-eligible homes for energy efficiency, healthy indoor environments, climate resilience, and all-electric appliances. The grant performance period runs June 3, 2026 to June 2, 2027.
