Council to Hold FY27 Budget Public Hearings April 7–9

The Montgomery County Council will hold public hearings on the County Executive's recommended FY27 Operating Budget on April 7, 8, and 9, 2026, with both afternoon and evening sessions on the first two days. The County Executive's budget includes a 6.3-cent property tax increase, an income tax rate increase from 3.2% to 3.3%, and hikes to the 911 fee, solid waste charges, water quality protection charge, facility rental fees, and EV charging rates. Residents may testify in person or submit feedback through other available channels.
