County Joins Regional Local Food Procurement Challenge

The Montgomery County Council co-sponsored a resolution, introduced by Councilmember Friedson and co-sponsored by Sayles, committing the county to the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments regional local food procurement challenge. The resolution aims to increase purchases of locally grown food across county operations and designate a point person to help departments overcome procurement barriers.
