ReceivedApr 3, 2026
The Planning, Housing and Parks (PHP) Committee will meet on April 6, 2026 at 2:15 p.m. to review more than $165 million in recommended FY2027-2032 Capital Improvements Program funding across 11 recreation projects. The total represents an increase of more than $35 million, or 27.4 percent, from the amended FY2025-2030 CIP, driven largely by escalating costs in Recreation Facilities Refurbishment projects for centers and outdoor pools. A new project included in the review calls for installation of a natural grass field at North Potomac Community Center to replace aging artificial turf.
