Council Begins FY27 Budget Work Sessions After 200-Resident Hearing

The Montgomery County Council completed a series of five public hearings on the County Executive's proposed FY27 Operating Budget, hearing testimony from over 200 residents. Committee work sessions began the week of April 7, 2026, with each department's budget to be reviewed in detail. The Council is scheduled to adopt a final FY27 Operating Budget in late May, with the new budget taking effect July 1, 2026.
