Maryland Grants Support Alternative Teacher Certification for Professionals

Governor Wes Moore announced new state grants for Maryland institutions of higher education to fund the Alternative Certification for Effective Teachers (ACET) program, which helps degree-holding professionals enter the teaching profession. The grants are intended in part to address the teacher shortage and support displaced or retiring federal employees interested in education careers.
