TE Committee Reviews $198M Solid Waste Budget, Fee Increases

The TE Committee will also review the $198 million FY27 Operating Budget for Recycling and Resource Management on April 20, 2026, representing a nearly $6 million (3.1%) increase. The County Executive's recommended FY27 Solid Waste Service Charges include a $14.33 increase for single-family residential, a $2.94 increase for multi-family residential, and a $106.05 increase per 2,000 sq. ft. for non-residential sectors. Transfer Station tipping fees for refuse would rise from $93 to $105 per ton, and fees for concrete, dirt, and rubble from $70 to $75 per ton.
