MCPS Opens Two Hours Late Dec. 15 Due to Ice

Montgomery County Public Schools will open two hours late on Monday, December 15, 2025, due to dangerously cold temperatures in the mid-teens and wind chills in the single digits causing refreezing on roads, sidewalks, and parking lots. The delay is intended to allow additional daylight and time for road crews to treat surfaces. Morning, all-day, and after-school childcare programs may operate on their regular schedules.
