Maryland Grants Support New Teacher Certification for Degree-Holders

Governor Wes Moore announced new grants for Maryland institutions of higher education to expand the Alternative Certification for Effective Teachers (ACET) program. The grants are intended to address the teacher shortage and support degree-holding professionals—including displaced or retiring federal employees—who wish to become teachers.
