EC Committee Reviews MCPS International Enrollment Jan. 12

The Montgomery County Council's Education and Culture (EC) Committee will meet on Jan. 12, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. to receive an update on international enrollment at Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS). Representatives from the MCPS International Admissions and Enrollment Office (IAE) will present, covering a program that welcomed more than 3,000 newcomers during the 2024-2025 academic year and more than 1,500 in the first half of 2025-2026. The committee is chaired by Councilmember Will Jawando and also includes Councilmembers Shebra Evans and Kristin Mink.
