Annual Homeless Memorial Service Set for June 5 in Rockville

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich, Council Vice President Marilyn Balcombe, and community partners will hold the annual Community Homeless Memorial Service on Friday, June 5, from 9:30–11 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Plaza adjacent to the Isiah Leggett Executive Office Building in Rockville. The service, hosted by the Interagency Commission on Homelessness, will commemorate 35 individuals who died while experiencing homelessness in 2024 and 2025. A 2026 Point-in-Time count found 1,120 individuals were experiencing homelessness in Montgomery County on the night of February 4, 2026.
