Bill 1-26 Would Cut Annual County Minimum Wage Report

The Montgomery County Council will hold a public hearing on Feb. 24, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. on Bill 1-26, which would eliminate the Office of Legislative Oversight's obligation to produce an annual report on the impact of the county's minimum wage on the local economy. The bill would amend existing county minimum wage law. Residents must sign up to testify by Feb. 23 at 2 p.m.
