Budget Puts $129.8M Into Affordable Housing Programs

The FY27 budget allocates $77.5 million to the Department of Housing and Community Affairs to preserve and expand affordable housing, plus $52.3 million for the Housing Initiative Fund—the County's primary affordable housing financing source. Capital funding for the new Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center is also secured in the budget.
