Council Committee to Review MCPS AI Policy Adopted May 2026

The Education and Culture Committee will meet July 27, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. to review MCPS Board of Education Policy IGS, Educational Technology, which was adopted in May 2026. The policy establishes guiding principles for the integration of emerging technologies—including artificial intelligence—into instruction and operations, following statewide AI guidelines from the Maryland Department of Education. It is intended to be regularly updated as new technologies emerge.
