County Allocates $129.8M for Affordable Housing Programs in FY27

The FY27 operating budget directs $77.5 million to the Department of Housing and Community Affairs for affordable housing preservation, rent stabilization, and landlord-tenant programs. The Housing Initiative Fund receives $52.3 million to support rental assistance, Housing First initiatives, and first-time homebuyer assistance. The Housing Opportunities Commission, which administers Housing Choice Vouchers, receives more than $9.5 million.
