County Celebrates Bike and Roll to School Day at Poolesville Elementary

Montgomery County will host its annual 'Bike and Roll to School Day' event from 8–9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Poolesville Elementary School (19565 Fisher Ave., Poolesville). Students will depart from three nearby parks — Elgin Park, L M Stevens Park, and Bodmer Park — at 8:15 a.m. for a group ride converging at Whalen Commons before proceeding to the school. MCDOT, the Montgomery County Police Department, the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, and MCPS are co-hosting the event, which will feature music, balloons, firetrucks, and giveaways.
