County Names Eight African American Living Legends for 2026

Montgomery County will present Living Legend Awards to eight African American community leaders at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, at the BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown. The ceremony, hosted by the Office of Human Rights and the African American Advisory Group, is part of the county's 29th annual Juneteenth celebration. The 2026 honorees are Juanita Goudy, William L. England Jr., LeCount Davis, Gladys Hawkins Lyons, Rev. C. Glenn Taylor, Patricia Ann Tyson, Millie West-Wiggins, and Joann Snowden Woodson.
