County Offers Free PFAS Testing to Nearby Private Well Owners

DHHS Jun 15, 2026
Montgomery County is offering free PFAS testing to private well owners located within one mile of the highest PFAS sampling locations near Great Seneca Highway and Key West Avenue in North Potomac. The offer comes after elevated PFAS levels were detected in a local stream and stormwater pond by the Maryland Department of the Environment. Additional groundwater and soil testing is also being planned as part of an interagency task force response.
