County Rent Stabilization Caps Increases at 6% Through June 2025

Montgomery County's rent stabilization measure, approved by the County Council in summer 2024, limits annual rent increases to a maximum of 6% from July 23, 2024 through June 30, 2025. Tenants who believe their landlord is violating the allowance may file a complaint with the Department of Housing and Community Affairs' Rent Stabilization Office.
