County Surpasses 10,000 Affordable Units Financed Since FY19

Montgomery County's Department of Housing and Community Affairs (DHCA) published its Affordable Housing Pipeline Report for FY26 Q4, showing cumulative loans of $704,126,983 from FY19 through FY26 to produce or preserve 10,031 affordable units across 126 projects. In FY26 alone, the County closed a record $143,925,793 in loans supporting 1,983 units across 18 projects. Projects serve seniors, mental health recovery residents, and working families at 30–80% of Area Median Income.
