DHHS Opens $2M EquiCare Child Care Subsidy Grant for Providers

Montgomery County DHHS Early Childhood Services, in partnership with the Office of Grants Management, has released the FY27 EquiCare: Subsidy Seats Grant Program NOFO (Cohort 2), with $2,053,205 in total funding available. The grants support licensed child care providers in Montgomery County to fund full-day, high-quality care seats for infants and toddlers ages 6 weeks to 36 months, for families not eligible for existing public early childhood programs. The performance period runs January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2027; applications open September 1, 2026, with a submission deadline of September 25, 2026.
