District 6 Police Station Gets County's First Microgrid

Montgomery County completed construction of its first microgrid at a District 6 police station during fiscal year 2025. The microgrid is designed to maintain electrical service during prolonged power outages. Separately, MCPS broke ground on Burtonsville Elementary School, its first net-zero energy school.
