Free Dementia Friends Information Sessions Available August

Certified Montgomery County Dementia Friendly America Speakers Bureau presenters are offering free 45–60 minute information sessions on recognizing dementia signs and communicating with people living with dementia. Three public sessions are scheduled in August 2026: August 3 at White Oak Library in Silver Spring, August 19 virtually via Visiting Angels Coffee and Chat, and August 27 at Wheaton Senior Center. Sessions can also be scheduled for organizations by contacting coordinator Jocelyn O'Rourke at 301-569-0210.
