Free Friendship Picnic Returns to Wheaton Regional Park Aug. 23

Montgomery County's Committee Against Hate/Violence (CAHV) will host the annual Friendship Picnic on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026, from noon to 5 p.m. at Wheaton Regional Park, 2000 Shorefield Road in Wheaton. The free event requires no registration and features multicultural food options, live music, dancing, a petting zoo, carousel, and miniature train rides. Free satellite parking shuttles will run from the Wheaton Ice Rink, nearby athletic fields, and John F. Kennedy High School.
