FY27 Budget Expands Health and Human Services Funding

The FY27 Recommended Budget expands health and human services investments, including more than $68 million for Services to End and Prevent Homelessness (up from $24.5 million in FY20), support for eight Mobile Crisis Outreach Teams — the largest behavioral health mobile crisis deployment in County history — and more than $19 million for the Latino Health Initiative, African American Health Program, and Asian American Health Initiative. The budget also raises the reimbursement rate for Montgomery Cares providers from below 50% to 52%, supporting 25,000 uninsured individuals.
